Aqua Twist Herbal Water: 5 Amazing Infused Water Flavours You Need To Try Out Soon!

It's getting hot and if you haven't been drinking enough water, your taste buds are to be blamed. I for one love drinking water, and am always moving around with a bottle of water in my hand.

I am one of those who can't stay without drinking enough water - for me, having about 5 to 8 liters of water a day is absolutely natural. However, of late, I also started making a lot of infused water at home, my favourite flavours being lime, cinnamon, pudina and sweet lime.

The one thing that made me pick up these bottles was the fact that all of this is herbal water and absolutely natural. Also, they have come up with flavours that are so refreshing, especially in the Indian heat, and will cater to a wide range of taste buds.

While drinking infused water is great for your overall health and you can easily make it at home, sometimes, especially when you are on the move, it is more convenient to carry an infused or herbal water that is ready made.

So I decided to give it a try, and here are the 5 flavours that are currently available in the market.

From L-R: Elaichi, Saunf, Cinnamon, Pudina, Mint

Here's what the brand claims

With 100% natural herbal extracts, zero added sugars, zero calorie and zero artificial flavours or sweeteners.

Ingredients: R.O, U.V. Sterilized & Ozonated water, saunf extracts

Price: INR 20 for 250 ml.

Shelf life: Best before 6 months

Reuse and reduce!

One thing I loved about the brand is that it encourages you to reuse and reduce waste and plastic use! So, the bottle is convenient to carry along and you can use it even after the herbal water is over. Here's what the manufacturers say:

This bottle is specially designed for longer application. We welcome you to reuse the Bottle and help our Planet.

I did in fact use it for a couple of months after I finished up the herbal water, and the quality of the bottle remained intact, with no smell or crack. Also, the size and shape makes it really easy to carry in your handbag, small body cross bag and definitely in your college or work backpack!

Health benefits of infused water

Depending on what all you add to the infused water, there are various health benefits of having infused water:

  • Added dose of vitamin C
  • Fiber, potassium and minerals
  • Great taste that makes you want to drink more, and stay hydrated
  • Better metabolism
  • Helps reduce and manage weight
  • Reduces the urge to drink colas and aerated beverages

My favourite flavours?

I loved all the flavours and they are actually really refreshing, it feels as if you have the real ingredient right there in the bottle. But my most favourite were definitely the pudina and cinnamon ones!

If you haven't tried it out yet, I would say give it a shot. With all these delicious flavours to choose from, you are bound to have at least one that will become a sure favourite!

Oriflame The One Lip Sensation Vinyl Gel Lip Glosses #Oriflame #TheOne #LipSensation #VinylGel Lip Glosses - All 7 Shades Swatches

So a few months back, pretty recently though, Oriflame came out with a new range of lip colours. Called The ONE Lip Sensation Vinyl Gel, these are highly pigmented and glossy lip colours that come in a liquid form.

The range comes in super shiny gloss, which is the ones I have and will swatch here, and also a matte range (I am yet to try those out).

Here I am, with all the 7 shades in their cute packaging. The cardboard packaging mentions the shade name and the price.

They are priced at INR 699 for 5 ml of product. Let me tell you that the lip glosses are reallyyy tiny, but yes, they are also SUPER PIGMENTED. All the swatches you will see below are just one swipe of colour.

Here are the 7 shades (from L to R):

  1. Tangerine Tango
  2. Malibu Blush
  3. Sunset Burst
  4. Pink Mambo
  5. Hot Flamingo
  6. Magnetic Magenta
  7. Purple Rumba

All the swatches shown below are in the order of shades mentioned in this image:

The colours are very buildable and not sheer, as you can see in the images below. However, the one problem I have with this entire range is that, unfortunately for me at least (I don't know whether others like this feature or not), ALL the colours in this range are SUPER STICKY. This is the only one problem I have with this range and the only one thing that I absolutely do not like and wish Oriflame will take note of in future.

The colours are so sticky that you can't speak without your lips sticking together, and yes, that irritating thing about your hair coming and sticking on your lips!!!! :(

A fun thing I noticed is that for each shade, you get a different flavour and taste on your lips. The colours do not suddenly fade away, nor do they leave a smudge or tint as they vanish off. However, they fade away evenly and without creating a patchy look.

Also, you have to be very careful while applying, especially because it is very sticky in consistency.

About the shades:

I feel that Oriflame has managed to capture majority of the young crowd with their choice of shades, as they range from a very light peach to a bright bubblegum pink and a beautiful deep magenta (I can't stop wearing that one!!!!). Also, even though the shades are very very glossy (which makes it perfect for night and party wear), you can tone them down by just dabbing a tissue lightly, and you are good to go. I did it a lot when I wore the colours during the day.

Staying power:

As with any other lip gloss, the colours will stay for about 3 to 4 hours, IF you do not eat or drink anything. They will also transfer a lot, and very easily too. As the packaging is very tiny and cute, you can easily drop it in your handbag or clutch, or even in your pocket for that matter :)

As you can guess from my face here in the pic above, I love this shade :)

This one below, Purple Rumba, is my absolute favourite of all the 7 shades!

Will I buy again?

The only shade I will probably buy again is the Purple Rumba (the reason being that I am not a fan of the sticky colours). But yes, I definitely want to try out the matte range of the same name.

What's In My New Cathy London Women's Backpack #CathyLondon #Backpack #whatsinmybag #Lakme #Maybelline #SilkyGirl

To be honest, I have been dying to get a proper black bag with amazing studs or spikes for a long time now. But unfortunately, the ones that I see in stores here in India are a huge disappointment, at least to me, and the ones I saw on other sites had super high shipping charges, which I didn't think was worth it.

This backpack is originally priced at INR 3499, but I got it at INR 1570.

So finally, I decided to give this cute black backpack a try. The brand is Cathy London and I have used their bags earlier, so I know the quality is really good. In fact theirs was one of my favourite bags. Also, the fact that I have been traveling a lot lot lot of late and have been using backpacks quite often made it more sensible that I try it out.

The combination of black, the fake leather (I am not sure what it is called) material, the studs and it being a backpack is what did it for me.

I bought it on Amazon, and have used it for about a week now. The first thing that anyone who saw me wearing it said was that they were surprised that I decided to go for a smaller bag, as I am more of a huge tote person, and my bags carry my world. I absolutely love my huge bags, but I am in love with this one now! And they were also quick to mention that it looked absolutely fantastic and chic. I can't agree more.

Check out the studs....aren't they absolutely stunning? The best part is that they are not too in your face, and look really nice, and even though there is some bling, it is not too loud.

The backpack comes with three separate areas - the biggest one at the back, the middle one, and a small one at the front. I was really happy to find that the one at the front was also a functional space, as earlier I thought it was just for show.

The adjustable straps are really cool, as they help you adjust the height you want to wear your backpack at. You can also easily wear it in the front if you are traveling by local transport and want to make sure that everything is safe.

Contrary to what it looks like, the bag can actually fit in a lot and comes with real good space inside. This was a huge surprise, as I honestly did not expect this much space.

It also has another small zipper inside in the main big compartment, which is perfect to store your keys or anything of importance that is small in size and you want to be easily accessible.

This is the front compartment I was talking about. It has a lot of space for smaller objects, and I made good use of it too.

I recently used this backpack as an overnighter. I had gone to meet a friend and ended up staying back at her place. While I did not carry a lot, I did take along enough to help me for a night. Which is exactly why I bought this bag for in the first place, to help me carry enough stuff for a day and night.

So yes, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, and I can't travel without my lippies. You all know how much I love them. These are the things I stored in the small space you saw at the front.

From L to R:

Lakme Absolute White Intense Wet And Dry Compact in Beige Honey

Maybelline New York Baby Lips Electro Pop Lip Balm Shade Berry Bomb

Lakme 9 to 5 Creaseless Creme Lip Color

Maybelline New York Baby Lips Electro Pop Lip Balm Shade Fierce N Tangy

The chunky lipstick you see is a brand called Silky Girl which I have seen only in Malayasia till date. Their range of matte and creme lip crayons are AMAZING and you should definitely check the website. I have 6 of their gorgeous shades and am still craving for the rest :) Definitely try it out if you can lay your hands on them.

The silver rings I have picked up during my trips to Goa, from the Tibetan markets that have an amazing and very special collection of these finds. The green and white case is for my contact lenses.

This is what I carried in my main compartment. The green bag is a travel bag that I used to keep some things I had to give my friend. The big pouch is my wallet. And the cute thing you see alongside is my key ring that has about 5 different charms on it :)

In the middle space I carried my phone charger, my spectacle case and my Nakamichi ear phones.

I also carried my medicines, a travel size moisturizer from Biotique and a stick of mints.

So you see, even though it looks really small, the bag has a huge amount of space. In fact I also carried a small water bottle in it but that was after I had given my friend her stuff, as else it could have dented the material of the bag.

#Travel #Goa Goa Lookbook #WhatIWore #BeachClothes

Hey you wonderful people,

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I was off for a quick runaway to Goa, my favouritestestest place in the world, and I am back now, all tanned, fully tanned, and full of frizz....well that is my hair condition almost all the time, whether I am at the beach, at home, or at work...more on that later.

For now, I thought I would share a few looks that I was wearing in Goa, barely any makeup on though, but it was all so casual and relaxed that the clothes were also fun and chilled out. If you have been out and about of late and have clicked your looks (I am sure you have ;) ) do share them with me..I love to see what others wear when they are on vacation.

And yes, I am no style master, so whatever I put on is purely based on comfort, which is top most in my styling priority, and what I fancy at the moment, of course also based on where I am going. So if you don't like something I wear, please don't kill me over it..thanks :)

This was just before I was heading out for clubbing in Baga, Goa, and this was about 11pm. I am wearing a simple pair of denim shorts, an old loose t-shirt, and carrying a basic sling. I am also wearing a simple pair of flat cloth shoes that look like denim. Makeup is minimal, and my super-greasy and frizzy hair is done in a half up style.

I am wearing a very old black turtleneck top here, it's about 15 years old, and still works great! And fits me great too :) The same pair of simple denim shorts. The gorgeous neckpiece you see here is bright and makes any outfit look fab. It was a gift and was found in the street market in Kolkata.

By the way, if you like the hair colour, it's the new home hair colour kit from BBlunt in the new range BBlunt Salon Secret High Shine Creme Hair Colour and the shade is Wine Deep Burgundy 4.20 Its an AWESOME COLOUR and shows up soooooo gorgeous! The pic that you see here is almost 3 months after I coloured my hair and still it shows up really pretty in the sun! Even as I am sharing this I am sitting with a head full of another gorgeous shade from the same range, and this time it is Blueberry Blue Black 2.10

I picked up this black and white striped long top that I paired with the same pair of simple denim shorts, again!! I bought them at Max store, for about INR 500. I generally do not wear cut sleeves, I am very irritated by my flabby arms, but am working on it, and thought it would be a good idea to experiment a bit. Makeup - Garnier BB cream, Maybelline colossal kajal, Colorbar liquid matte lipcolour in the shade Rustic and a little touch up with Lakme 9 to 5 in the shade Scarlett Drill, blush is also by Colorbar in the shade 009 Coral Craving, range is Cheekillusion blush.

This is an old pair of yellow cotton shorts I picked up from a Lifestyle store about 2 years back, and it was priced at about INR 500. The tee shirt is handpainted, I bought it for INR 350 at an art and handicraft mela in Mumbai this January. No makeup here, just a Maybelline compact to clear the grease at the beach and Maybelline baby lips lip balm in the electro pop range, in the shade Berry Crush.

This is more like a cover up and can also be worn as a cute kurti with leggings and even jeggings. You can wear it over your swimming costume, and I wore it with pale denim shorts. The top is a gorgeous bright colour and cost me about INR 350. The chappal I picked up from Max for about INR 300. The cloth jhola I picked up at a street stall in Goa for about INR 300.

Another gorgeous colour I have not tried earlier (I am starting to experiment and wear colours other than black!) and picked up this bright beautiful and absolutely soft and comfortable cotton kurta from a street stall in Goa for about INR 300. It works great as a cover up, can be worn as a regular kurti with jeggings and I paired it with pale blue denim shorts. The chappal is the same as above and the bright cloth backpack I had picked up on an earlier trip to Goa, for INR 300 from a street stall.

And now, I'm gonna sign off with a kiss to you all...

Oriflame Eco Beauty Range Launch At J W Marriott Mumbai #SkinCare #Organic

I have loved using Oriflame products in the past, and have collaborated with them in earlier posts, which was for their new makeup range.

This time, however, it was a launch of a different kind. Oriflame has recently come out with a new range of skin care products, that are more geared towards being eco-friendly, and use more natural ingredients instead of harsher ones.

The event was held at the beautiful J W Marriott in Mumbai, and was different from regular launch events. For starters, it was an eco brunch, where bloggers and vloggers were invited to come and indulge in some delicious healthy and light foods and snacks, along with delicious and more natural based drinks. The decor was beautiful, with more greens and fresh flowers everywhere.

I generally avoid going to launch parties, as I find most of them are the same, where we are told about the product and then eat and drink and leave. This one though promised to be different, and it was :)

The invite for the eco brunch arrived in a beautiful cardboard box with pretty floral motifs. And hey, it had a pair of miniature jars - one with organic rose tea and the other with organic potpourri. I absolutely loved the fragrance of the potpourri, and being a lover of teas, I loved the rose tea as well. I will be honest - I have never received an invite like this before.

Obviously selfie is mandatory, so here I am, checking myself one last time before I get back to the event ;)

ECO was the word at the event, and for the new line of products as well. Here was a fun game where we were asked to choose what the words NATURAL, RADIANT and HEALTHY mean to us.

The delicious kokum sharbat - just realized now that the colour matches my lips :)

My gift - a beautiful plant in a lovely jute bag

The Oriflame EcoBeauty range of toner

The Oriflame EcoBeauty range of face cream

The Oriflame EcoBeauty range of eye cream

I have been using the products for a while now, and it's a good time to come out with the reviews and to tell you what I think of the same. All I can say for now is that Oriflame has always been a very loved brand and their products are always made in a way that is good for your skin. No harsh chemicals and ingredients. These too are good to use, so do come back and read up if you would like to know more about it :)
